SOVEREIGN TEAM EVENT

On Sunday 13th December Pyrford entered a team into the Invitation event hosted by Sovereign Judo Club. It was contested by 4 teams

Sovereign .. Wirral ... Dorking/Yamabushi .. Pyrford

With a relatively inexperienced team and some heavier weights missing Pyrford had a tough time and came away with 4th place. Wirral won for the 6th time in a row with Sovereign 2nd. However, the event was held in a fantastic atmosphere and some excellent Judo was done by all. We hope to be back next year with a stronger and more experienced team. Those that took part need to build on this experience and enter a few more competitions.

The Pyrford team was Patrick Barnes .. Miles Harding .. Alex Sinclair .. Adam Holloway .. Fabio Auriemma .. Cesar Falco .. Lewis Evans .. Oliver Harding .. Elizabeth Jamieson .. Gabrielle carney .. Hannah Leahy .. Gabriella Giles .. Jade Warr

There were some particularly brave performances by Miles Harding and Jade Warr who were fighting much older players

Thank you to the coaching team at Sovereign for organising this event. We are looking forward to next year
